Cast and Director of Japanese Rudolf Announced   (15 Apr 2012)
More information about the second Japanese production of Rudolf - The Last Kiss has been released. Yoshio Inoue returns to perform the title role. He will be joined by Kazune Miou as Marie Vetsera, Kenji Sakamoto as Taaffe, Rie Yoshizawa as Stephanie, Ichiro Maki as Larisch and Kunio Murai as Franz Josef. The staging will be based on the version seen in Vienna, with David Leveaux (who helmed that production in 2009) directing. Tickets go on sale on 21 April. Rudolf to Play in Japan and Korea   (4 Mar 2012)
Rudolf will have two Asian productions this coming year. TOHO Stage Co. will present the second Japanese run of the show at the Imperial Theater in Tokyo, 5-29 July. Tickets go on sale in April. Information is posted on their website (in Japanese). The show will also have its Korean premiere, presented by EMK Musical Company at Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul, this November. New Recordings of "Only Love" and "Gold"   (4 Feb 2012)
A 2-CD set of Frank Wildhorn & Friends - Live from Vienna is now available, including the songs "Only Love" (from Rudolf) performed by Pia Douwes, and "Gold" (from Camille Claudel) sung by Linda Eder. The program was recorded on 4 October 2010 at the Raimund Theater in Vienna, with Frank Wildhorn at the piano. He was joined by Douwes, Eder, Thomas Borchert and the Orchester der Vereinigten Bühnen Wien under the direction of Koen Schoots. The recording also includes selections from Jekyll & Hyde, Dracula, The Count of Monte Cristo, Wonderland, and more. It is available from Dress Circle in London and Amazon.de and Sound of Music in Germany.
