Rudolf Plans Set For Vienna
(30 November 2007)
Vereinigte Bühnen Wien has announced a late February 2009 opening for Rudolf in Vienna,
Austria. The German-language premiere of the show will take place at the Raimund Theater. Auditions
will be held in Vienna, as well as Cologne and Hamburg, Germany, in January and Feburary 2008.
Takarazuka Revue to Present Pimpernel
(23 November 2007)
Takarazuka Revue - the famous, all-female theater company based in Takarazuka, Japan - will present
the Japanese premiere production of Pimpernel next summer. Performances are slated for 20 June - 4
August 2008 in Takarazuka and 22 August - 5 October 2008 in Tokyo. The show will be presented by Star
Troupe, with Kei Aran expected to play Percy and Asuka Toono as Marguerite. Shuichiro Koike directs.

Rudolf to Play Japan
(12 October 2007)
Plans have been announced to bring Rudolf - The Last Kiss to Japan. Toho Musical & Play will present
the Japanese Premiere in Tokyo from 6 May through 1 June 2008. The cast for this production will include Yoshio
Inoue as Rudolf, Rena Sasamoto as Mary Vetsera, Rina Chinen as Princess Stephanie, Tatsuki Kohju as Countess
Larisch, Haruhiko Jo as Franz Joseph, Kenji Urai as Johann Pfeiffer, Hiroshi Hatanaka as Szeps, Yuji Kishi as
Kaiser Wilhelm, Shinya Niro as Edward (Prince of Wales) and Kojiro Oka as Taaffe. More information is available

Family Update: Actors Fund Medal of Honor

John Breglio, Nan's husband, will be presented with the Actors Fund Medal of Honor in recognition of the
important role he plays in the entertainment and performing arts community. The award will be presented by
Patti LuPone at the Fund's 125th anniversary celebration on 15 October 2007 at Carnegie Hall. See the

Fever Returns To Italy

The Italian tour of Saturday Night Fever returns in the Fall of 2007. Dates have been announced,

Pimpernel to Premiere in Sweden

Östgötateatern will present the Swedish premiere of The Scarlet Pimpernel. The show
will play in Linköping, 28 September - 24 November 2007, and in Norrköping, 28 September 2007 -

Poetry Published in Michigan Quarterly Review

Two of Nan's poems have just been published in the Michigan Quarterly Review. The poems are
titled "I Know How To Do This" and "Mother At Seventy-Three", and they appear in the Summer 2007
issue (volume 46, number 3). Visit the Michigan Quarterly

an essay by Nan, including samples of her earlier writing, in their series titled
"Secret Spaces Of Childhood."

House, two original musicals that Nan has been working on with Howard Marren.
Snapshots had a reading in 1996, one song from Open House has been released on CD,
and songs from both shows have been performed in cabaret shows. See the

Pimpernel Continues in Germany

The premiere German production of The Scarlet Pimpernel is set for a sixth season of
performances at Opernhaus Halle in Halle, Germany. Performances have been announced for January
through May of 2008. The fifth season is currently running and will conclude on 17 June

Pimpernel Premieres in Austria, Hungary, Norway

The Scarlet Pimpernel is set to have three major premieres this year. The show will
begin an open-air run at Felsenbühne Staatz in Staatz, Austria on 20 July; it will
open at Szegedi Nemzeti Színház in Színház, Hungary on 19
October; and it will be presented by Scenario at Kolben in Kolbotn, Norway beginning 31
October. For further details, see the

(Update, 19 October 2007: the production in Hungary will not take place this year. Keep an eye on

A reading of Nan's new mystery play, Bad Dreams, was held on Monday, 5 February.
Coordinated by Jay Binder, the cast for the reading consisted of Erin Dilly, Brian D'Arcy James,
Ian Kahn, John McMartin, Estelle Parsons, David Rasche, Deborah Rush and Paul Schoeffler. See

Rudolf Returns To Szeged
(31 January 2007)
The Hungarian premiere production of Rudolf - The Last Kiss will be returning to the
Szeged Open-Air Festival this summer. The show had its open air premiere in Szeged on 28 July
2006, and it has just been announced that the show will return to the festival in 2007, playing
nightly at 9pm from 9-12 August with 13 August as a rain date. Performance dates at the Operett
Színház in Budapest, Hungary continue to be announced on a regular basis, with dates for March
and April recently confirmed. Learn more on the

My Little Girl Page Added

Details have been added to the site on My Little Girl, a movie that Nan co-wrote
with Connie Kaiserman in 1987. The film starred Mary Stuart Masterson, James Earl Jones and
