Rudolf will have two Asian productions this coming year. TOHO Stage Co. will present the second Japanese run of the show at the Imperial Theater in Tokyo, 5-29 July. Yoshio Inoue returns to perform the title role. He will be joined by Kazune Miou as Marie Vetsera, Kenji Sakamoto as Taaffe, Rie Yoshizawa as Stephanie, Ichiro Maki as Larisch and Kunio Murai as Franz Josef. The staging will be based on the version seen in Vienna, with David Leveaux (who helmed that production in 2009) directing. Tickets go on sale on 21 April. Information is available on their website (in Japanese). The show will also have its Korean premiere, presented by EMK Musical Company at Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul, this November. Information is available on the Korean production website.

A 2-CD set of Frank Wildhorn & Friends - Live from Vienna is now available, including the songs "Only Love" (from Rudolf) performed by Pia Douwes, and "Gold" (from Camille Claudel) sung by Linda Eder. The program was recorded on 4 October 2010 at the Raimund Theater in Vienna, with Frank Wildhorn at the piano. He was joined by Douwes, Eder, Thomas Borchert and the Orchester der Vereinigten Bühnen Wien under the direction of Koen Schoots. It is available from Dress Circle in London and Amazon.de and Sound of Music in Germany.

Camille Claudel Premiered in Japan
GOLD - Rodin and Camille was presented at Theatre Creation in Tokyo, Japan, 8-28 December 2011. Produced by TOHO Musical & Play, the show starred Niizuma Seiko as Camille Claudel and Ishimaru Kanji as Auguste Rodin. Shirai Akira directed. Ishimaru Kanji recorded the song "A Trembling Man" (we believe in Japanese) as part of his 2CD set, "Welcome to Theater Music" (Sony Music International, SICL-260).
